There are five Seinomarins competing from the start of the week in Varese (Italy) for these U23 world championships. Two rowers from the Le Havre Rowing Society and three athletes from Nautical and Athletic Club of Rouen.
Valinducq: “Get the gold medal”
Ladies First. With real chances of a medal, or even a title, for Clara Valinducq, engaged in the coxless pair with Pauline Rossignol (Joinville, also at INSEP, swimming the boat), the same who won in May during the Essen International Regatta (GER). Something to encourage optimism. “After a month of intensive terminal training, between land and speed, I am determined to go for the gold medalsays the licensee of the SHA. The composition has already worked well, we have a well-defined strategy. The level will be higher, with about fifteen boats, some boats took part in the Tokyo Olympics, but nothing should stop us. » Always at the forefront, Mya Bosquet, another SHA rower, will also try to climb onto the podium in a coxless four which has seemed to gain momentum in recent days, despite food poisoning in the tricolor ranks.
On the side of CNA Rouen, the wait will be higher for Pierrick Verger, in lightweight double sculls, with Baptiste Savaete (Aix-les-Bains), back in U23 after a World Cup stage in Poznan with the seniors (9th place ). Two other Rouennais will have the ambition to make their way to the final: also in lightweight, Louis Pruvost is part of the four sculls, while Simon Vandercoilden will be in contention in the eight sculls.
