A total of 130 schools from all over Galicia have just been selected to participate in the program for the first time Secure initiation to fingerprint and social networkswith which the Xunta de Galicia takes another step in the reinforcement of responsible digital education.
This new initiative, which the Ministry of Culture, Education, Vocational Training and Universities is developing for the first time this year under the Galician School Coexistence Strategy 2025 and the Digital Strategy 2030, aims to offer students information and tools for acquisition of competencies and skills for the responsible, useful, safe and ethical use of these new forms of communication and interaction.
The program is aimed at students in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of ESO from centers supported with public funds. For this, in collaboration with the Agency for Technological Modernization of Galicia, in the selected centers -at a rate of 45 from the province of A Coruña, 25 from Lugo, 13 from Ourense and 47 from Pontevedra- workshops will be held until the end of of course.
Reinforcement of skills
The main objective is to train students in the safe, responsible and profitable use of Information and Communication Technologies. For this, the basic competence of students in security in the management of their profiles on social networks will be reinforced; the concepts of digital identity and fingerprint will be explained, and the configuration of security and privacy options of the most current social networks among boys will be delved into. Tools will also be offered and resources will be explained to which they can turn when they have any questions about the safe use of technology.
This program is part of the actions of the Galician School Coexistence Strategy 2025, which includes specific actions for responsible digital coexistence. It is also part of the Digital Education Strategy 2030, which contemplates the preparation of students to adapt to the challenges that await them in the educational, personal or professional field, making available the appropriate resources to promote more dynamic, personalized learning. collaborative and creative
