MERAUKE – Finals of wushu sports (sports) PON XX Papua 2021 took place at GOR Head Sai, Merauke, Sunday (3/10/2021). The final was witnessed directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Today’s wushu final will compete for two gold medals in the taolu number and 11 gold in the sanda number. In the sanda number, North Sumatra has the most representatives.
There were seven representatives of North Sumatra who qualified for the final, namely Brando Mamana Simanjorang, Junita Malau, Rosalina Simanjuntak, Adi R Manurung, Samuel Marbun, Roberto Manik, and Jeka Asparido Saragih.
Brando will face a tough opponent who won the 2019 SEA Games silver medal, Ade Permana who represents West Java. Ade certainly strives to make the West Java contingent proud in the men’s 48 kg sanda number.

Meanwhile, Central Java has passed two representatives in the final sanda, namely Laksamana Pandu Pratama and Yusuf Widianto, who appeared in the 52kg and 56kg classes. The two representatives of Central Java were athletes who won silver medals at the 2019 SEA Games.
