The attorneys at the Delfina Alarcón de Colliguay School, in the Quilpué commune, denounced that about 13 elementary school children had been inoculated with vaccines that did not correspond to them according to their age and gender. There would be around 13 children of 1st, 4th, 5th and 8th grade of the Delfina Alarcón School in Colliguay, who received the vaccine in the wrong way against covid-19, human papillomavirus (HPV) and DPT; the latter that allows immunization against diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis.

This was pointed out by the attorneys-in-fact, who were informed of the error by the health personnel three hours after the vaccination was performed in the Rural Post of the sector.

This situation occurred after they realized that they would have had too many vaccines, which were the ones that had to be supplied. In this way, the health personnel stated that they were not sure which or how many children were affected.

The president of the School’s Parents Center, Mauricio Hidalgo, stated that they were not given an inoculation card, and even they asked the same children what vaccines they had been given.


Faced with this the deputy Carolina Marzán he officiated at the Undersecretary of Health, Paula Daza, and the mayor of Quilpué, Valeria Melipillán, to request that all investigations be carried out to clarify the situation and punish those who are responsible.

“The most serious thing is that it is not certain how many or which children were affected. All the pertinent investigations for these indicated negligence must be carried out, and that the pertinent medical aid be provided “, said the parliamentarian.

For his part, Víctor Ramos, Secretary General of the Municipal Corporation of Quilpué, indicated that they are going to initiate an administrative summary on the case.

“The health team immediately began the protocol that the Ministry stipulates for these cases, counting 11 affected children, who received medical attention and were left under observation. Meanwhile, a summary was started to determine the corresponding responsibilities, ”said Ramos.

In a statement issued by the municipality, it was also pointed out that “as a preventive and accompanying measure, we instruct a shift for the entire weekend at the rural post of Colliguay, which will be available before any doubt or request of the attorneys-in-fact. of the sector ”.
