The world shivered because of the drastically weakened Kim and … PHOTOS

Kim Jong Un has visibly lost weight – he has lost at least 50 kilograms. And Pyongyang appears to have reopened the Yongbyon nuclear reactor. Two occasions drawing the world’s media attention to the communist state, writes “Deutsche Welle“.

North Korea is apparently resuming the operation of a nuclear plant, and the country’s leader has appeared in public after a long absence severely weakened. These two facts have again drawn the attention of the international media to the hermetically sealed country in recent days.

The DPRK does not stop crying for Kim Jong Un, and a terrible mystery envelops …

With 50 kilograms less

Kim Jong Un has just changed. The North Korean dictator has apparently lost a lot of his previous overweight. At a public meeting with volunteers, he passes in a good mood through a trellis of subjects, and his jacket falls quite loosely on the body – we see this in official photos from the event.

The Western world has been closely monitoring Kim’s weight for a long time, and now he has apparently decided to demonstrate to the world the good health of both the leader and his regime.

Last year, South Korea’s secret services estimated that Kim weighed almost 140 kilograms – at a height of about 1.70. And such a ratio is not very healthy, experts know. Now, however, Kim looks like a 90-pound man.

According to North Korean propaganda, Kim Jong Un was born on January 8, 1984, but the international intelligence community considers him younger. Kim Jong Il’s son, who rules his country with an iron fist, is probably about 35 years old.

Nuclear alarms
North Korea is suffering from international sanctions imposed by the West over Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs. The country, among other things, has completely closed its borders because of the pandemic. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), North Korea has reopened the Yongbyon nuclear reactor. For the Agency, this is a matter of “deep concern” because this installation could enrich uranium for military purposes.

In 2009, Pyongyang expelled IAEA observers, so since then the UN agency has been monitoring North Korea’s nuclear program mainly through satellites. According to a spokesman for the US State Department, the IAEA’s suspicions create an “urgent need” for dialogue and diplomacy to turn the Korean Peninsula into a nuclear-weapon-free zone.

The US administration’s plenipotentiary for North Korea has already announced its readiness to meet with Pyongyang officials on the issue – no matter when and where the meeting will take place.

As is known, a meeting between Kim Jong Un and then US President Donald Trump took place in Hanoi in 2019, but no agreement was reached on the path to North Korea’s nuclear disarmament. Today, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un looks much weaker and in better shape than then, but that does not guarantee any progress in future new diplomatic talks.
