Karen and James Mark had to undergo artificial insemination. It resulted in triplets, the oldest of which was born four years ago, a boy named Cameron. He is separated from his siblings by two and four years respectively.

All the babies are considered triplets because they were conceived at the same time and with the same batch of embryos through IVF assisted reproduction.

When Cameron was born in September 2018, the couple decided to have the remaining embryos frozen so that they could gradually expand their family. Isabela was born in September 2020, and Gabriela was born in early July 2022.

“It’s an amazing feeling. Now I finally have the impression that the whole family is complete,” an emotional Karen confided to The Independent.

The couple had been trying to have children naturally for a whole year, but with absolutely no success, so they decided to go the IVF route. In Britain, 390,000 children have been born this way since 1991, when the method was approved.
