Aschersleben – A woman from Aschersleben (Salzlandkreis) has become a victim of an Internet fraud. Police said on Sunday there was €36,000 in damages.
The victim came across an ad on Facebook. She was promised that she could make a significant profit with a deposit of 250 euros.
After entering her contact details on a website, she was contacted by an alleged broker, according to police. This encouraged her to invest in cryptocurrencies. “The promised profit has not materialised,” police said.
