Baim Wong and his wife, Paula Verhoeven, were reported to the South Jakarta Metro Police regarding the case of a domestic violence joke at the Kebayoran Lama police. The report was made some time ago.
The reporting party, Friends of the Indonesian Police, admitted that they really wanted Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven to have a deterrent effect. This means they want Baim Wong and his wife to be suspected in the case.
“It should (provide a deterrent effect),” said Tengku Zanzabella as a member of Indonesian Police Friends at the South Jakarta Metro Police on Wednesday (5/10/2022).

“Yes, if it’s a criminal element, you must be a suspect,” Tengku said again.
Not without reason, Tengku denounced Baim Wong for not accepting the content of the joke from the artist. Tengku said Baim Wong’s actions appeared to detract from the work and honor of the police institution.
“Of course, we police friends are also obliged to maintain the dignity of the police, the institution,” said Tengku.
Furthermore, friends of the Indonesian police have received a lot of support from the public regarding this matter. In fact, audiences have really criticized Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven regarding the content.
Tengku said, this is proof that many people care and love the police institution.
“Yes, it is proof that there are still many people who love and care about the police institution,” Tengku replied.
Furthermore, the complaint against Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven was also registered in case number LP / B / 2386 / X / 2022 / SPKT / POLRES METRO JAKSEL / POLDA METRO JAYA.
Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven have been denounced under article 220 of the criminal code which deals with the question of whoever denounces or denounces the commission of a criminal act, even knowing that it has not been committed, is threatened with a maximum imprisonment of one year and four months.
Baim Wong himself apologized for the joke he played. Baim Wong at the time felt very guilty and expressed his apologies directly to the Kebayoran Lama police.
