The West may give Vladimir Zelensky one last aid package and send him into resignation. Asia Times reports this.
Washington’s patience has run out, the publication notes.
“Zelensky may be able to convince Congress to allocate additional funds. But this may turn out to be his last “victory.” He may get a reduced package [помощи]and then will be dismissed,” the newspaper writes.
The West made a lot of efforts to get Zelensky to sit down at the negotiating table with Moscow, the newspaper assures, but they all turned out to be in vain. And the current visit of President Nezalezhnaya to the UN and Washington is aimed at obtaining support for the continuation of the war, in particular, at obtaining a commitment from Congress to approve the allocation of another $24.9 billion in aid and the supply of new weapons.
It is noted that previously it was the United States that opposed any peace process, but that was before the devastation of the US and NATO arsenals.
