Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova before speaking at the marathon “Knowledge. The First”, as part of the exhibition-forum “Russia”, which opened at VDNKh, expressed her own vision of the nature of the West’s attitude towards Ukraine. About it reports edition “Notices”.
Maria Zakharova described the relationship as follows – “I screwed it up and threw it away”.
This, according to the diplomat, explains the decline in support for Ukraine. Zakharova also noted the trend of abandoning the Russian language in the neighboring state, but this language needs to be known and learned, thus avoiding many mistakes.
“You know, there is such an expression, we all know it well from the Russian language, but, unfortunately, in Ukraine the Russian language is being abolished and they are losing a lot of meaning and importance, they should not lose it, but learn it,” says Zakharova.
The diplomat also recalled that Moscow had warned Kyiv many times about such a scenario. Maria Zakharova confirmed that Ukraine will be used up to a certain point, but then abandoned as unnecessary.
“There is such an expression as “sailed and abandoned” – this is what the West is doing to Ukraine. Unfortunately, they were used and then thrown away as unnecessary, and we warned about this,” Zakharova said.
