And then Viktor Orbán and Xi Jinping stared out the window at the rolling clouds together

He reported in a quite fantastic modern chronicle the Chinese news agency Xinhua From the farewell dinner of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday, in which, in addition to extolling the achievements of the two countries separately and together, there was room for poetic descriptions of how the two leaders looked at the rolling clouds, wrote the Rtl.hu.

Viktor Orbán and his wife, Anikó Lévai, met the Chinese president and his wife at the Mol Tower on Friday, and before that, in a completely unusual way, the prime minister was willing to answer Telex’s questions at length. Of course, we couldn’t enter the Mol tower, but thanks to Xinhua it was revealed that during the joint lunch “the two leaders and their wives enjoyed together the panorama of Budapest spread out in front of them on both sides of the Danube.”

Orbán informed the Chinese president about the history, transformation and development of the city, and did not forget to mention how much influence Chinese companies had on the development of Hungary and Hungarian cities, and that many Chinese investments have become the cornerstone of bilateral relations. Hszi thanked Orbán for the invitation and his attentiveness, and said that he gained a deeper understanding of Hungary, whose development over the past 15 years impressed him, according to his claim.

After that, the report moved into a slightly more abstract direction with the modernization of China and the discussion of the positive effects of the cooperation between the two countries, but it only became truly poetic after that, when it continued like this, I quote:

“The two leaders sat by the window watching the rolling clouds outside and had an open conversation about their growth experiences and governance philosophies, exchanged ideas on important issues that affect both of them, and reached a number of agreements.”

Xi also initiated Viktor Orbán in detail into the history of the Chinese Communist Party, who in the meantime certainly protested loudly, since he spoke at the right-wing CPAC at the end of April about how the communists (and now the progressives) “sing the cheese out of our mouths in five steps”. . The Chinese president also noted that Hungary and China follow similar principles, as they both stand for sovereignty, and concluded by saying that he looks forward to further close dialogue with Viktor Orbán.
