The West DataHub, Europe’s leading interregional platform

Focusing on the constitution of cohorts for clinical trials, the identification of biological biomarkers or the development of diagnostic aid tools, the research projects selected by the establishments, in conjunction with the scientific and ethical committee of the HUGO group , are currently four in number, ” who act as proof of concept “, indicates Cécile Jaglin-Grimonprez. The Nantes University Hospital is thus working on cardiology, the Rennes University Hospital on genetics, and the Angers University Hospital on liver complications and the impact of vitamin C deficiencies. All therefore require interregional data sharing. The HUGO GCS also collaborates with the national Health Data Hub. This is particularly the purpose of the Hugo Share pilot project. « The principle is simple: we have hospital data but not those produced in town. However, the two are complementary. We therefore need to link our data with those of Health Insurance in particular ”, explains Marc Cuggia, who insists on « the major interest in linking these data within the framework of work on city-hospital trajectories, for example to identify treatment breaks or study the undesirable effects of treatments ”. Concretely, the Health Data Hub “Has its own platform, through which it provides us with a project space. We will thus be able to export the data concerning the HugoShare study to deposit them on the Health Data Hub platform, and link them with the data from the Health Insurance ”, details the specialist, also in charge of this project, the analysis phase of which should begin in early 2022.
