“Did I just say something I shouldn’t?”
Time loops have become a bit of an unexpected “trend” in the 2021 game year, and one of the games that hit the nail on time and space was Deadly cycle. The developer was the reputable one Dishonored– and Prey-studio Arkane, and despite some initial skepticism, the game received a fairly good reception.
If you’ve had a taste of main character Colt’s adventures, there have now been signs that something new may be afoot. It was in a live stream with Jason Kelley and Ozioma Akagha, who lend their voices to Colt and Julianna in the game, that Kelley perhaps said something he shouldn’t have. The live stream has been on since late October, but the fad seems to have slipped under the radar so far.
He is asked about the codenames used during the game’s development, to which he replies that he cannot share them because “they are still sometimes used under the codenames”. He then he makes a face and says that maybe he said something that he shouldn’t have, while Akagha says that he “he didn’t say anything”.
So it seems like they’re still being hired for something Deadly cycle-related, but whether it’s DLC, sequel, expansion, spin-off, or anything that will see the light of day, we don’t know.
