Bulgarians detained during an operation to seize nearly a ton of cocaine in a ship off South Africa have a criminal past, and two of them are well known to the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor’s Office in Bulgaria. This became clear in the course of the case in Vredenburg.

The other ship, the Sea Condor, has been reported missing. According to the maritime specialized sites tracking ships, the vessel was last spotted in February 2019 in Burgas, he said.
For a month so far, none of the relatives or lawyers of our compatriots from Bulgaria has sought assistance or contact with them through our consulate in the Republic of South Africa, said the head of the mission Rositsa Vechleva.
