In Tilburg’s Koebergstraat, a PostNL mailbox was blown up for the third time in a week on Sunday. Every time PostNL puts in a new mailbox but it is always destroyed by vandals.
Sunday evening December 18 was the first hard blow. The mailbox on the corner of Koebergstraat and Diepenbrocklaan exploded with a bang. The windows of the left and right doors of the Renault parked next door had been blown out.
Huge bang
The next day, Monday December 19, PostNL had placed a new bus, but just 24 hours later that bus too was destroyed. There was another big bang on Tuesday evening and the mailbox was in pieces again. The windowless Renault parked next door sustained even more damage. Local residents chased the perpetrators, but could not find the boys.
On Wednesday, PostNL again placed a letterbox in the same place. The damaged car had now been removed and no one else dared to park there. This time it went well for four days. But on Christmas Day it happened again. The mailbox was blown up again.
Injury
An internet search shows that a new bus costs at least 1000 euros, which already causes damage of at least 3000 euros in a week.
