The use of 2 Influenza Vaccines in Singapore is discontinued, this is the reason

SINGAPORE, KOMPAS.com – For the time being, Singapore decided to stop using two vaccine flu, SKYCellflu Quadrivalent dan VaxigripTetra.

To date, there have been no reports of deaths in Singapore related to influenza vaccination.

However, Singapore’s Ministry of Health and Health Sciences Authority (HSA) said in a statement on Sunday night (25/10/2020) that the decision to stop using the two influenza vaccines was a precautionary measure.

The HSA contacted South Korean authorities for more information to determine whether the deaths were linked to influenza vaccinations.

SKYCellflu Quadrivalent is produced by SK Bioscience from South Korea and distributed locally by AJ Biologics.

Meanwhile, VaxigripTetra is produced by Sanofi and distributed locally by Sanofi Aventis.

Meanwhile, two other influenza vaccines that have been brought to Singapore can still be used.
