The United States reacted to the massive shelling of Ukraine: “This cannot be the norm”

The State Department assured that the United States and allies will not remain indifferent to the rocket attacks on Ukraine.

The United States and allies will make efforts to ensure that Russian missile and air attacks on Ukraine do not become the norm, as the aggressor wishes.

This was stated by US State Department spokesman Ned Price at a briefing on March 9, commenting on another massive attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine.

Russia is trying to make these types of strikes the new normal”Price said.

He drew attention to the fact that only a few weeks have passed since the last time Russia staged previous massive attacks on Ukrainian cities, warehouses with agricultural products, energy facilities and other critical infrastructure. The speaker of the State Department stressed that it testifies to the level of cruelty of the Russians.

“It is therefore our responsibility to work with allies and partners around the world to make it clear that this can’t be the norm. We cannot remain indifferent to this.“Price said.

He added that for their part, the Ukrainian people also very clearly showed that they would not obey, but would continue to defend their country with the support of the United States and partners around the world.

Recall that on the night of March 9, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with various types of missiles and kamikaze drones. In total, the enemy fired 81 missiles and 8 UAVs. Air defense forces were able to shoot down 34 missiles and 4 drones.

The enemy struck in a number of areas, hitting both critical infrastructure and civilian homes. There are dead and injured among civilians. In different parts of Ukraine there were problems with electricity, heat and water supply.
