The United States of Captain America (and an Omnibus du Cap’ by Mark Waid) in June 2022 at Panini Comics

If you have been following French comics news for a few days, then you have noticed that Panini Comics has decided to adopt a sustained approach to communicate its new arrivals for next spring/summer, with daily announcements that will (perhaps) brighten up your days. At least they allow you to know what awaits you for the next few months, and the announcement of the day will be aimed at fans of Captain America.

All-New Captain(s) America

It is indeed from June 2022 that readers will be able to find the mini-series United States of Captain Americaa five-issue title that allowed the United States to make the transition between the conclusion of the run from Ta-Nehisi Coates (whose conclusion in Marvel Deluxe is also long overdue, the publication having left the publisher’s monthly Softcovers program) and the recently announced new series dedicated to Steve Roger on one side and Sam Wilson the other. The title is written by Christopher Cantwell and illustrated by Dale Eaglesham for its main plot, with five back-ups proposed by just as many different creative teams.

The United States of Captain America had indeed been able to talk about her with her back-ups, since each of them presented to the readership a character who, inspired by the symbolism of Cap’, had chosen to wear an equivalent costume to be the Captain of his own locality/community. These encounters are made according to the main story, in which Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson travel the United States in pursuit of a thief who has stolen Rogers’ shield. We were thus able to discover Aaron Fisher (which defends members of the LGBT+ community), Nichelle Wright (for African Americans), Joe Gomez (for native Americans), Arielle Agbayani (for students on its campus) or Jeremy Merrick (for traumatized war veterans). Of course, these characteristics are only indications on the fights of each one, for characters which are not limited only to notch a label of “Captain America of…” – you will notice it while reading the work.

Beside it is also in the section Marvel Omnibus that Panini Comics intends to offer Captain Americaand again next June, with an omnibus dedicated to one of the runs the most appreciated on the character, that of Mark Waid along with, among others, Ron Garney and Andy Kubertwhich took place in the late 1990s. run momentarily stopped by Heroes Reborn (and the horrors of Rob Liefeld) before Waid can’t come back. Modeled on the omnibus version released in original version in 2017, this imposing work will include within it the numbers Captain America (1968) #444-454, Captain America (1998) #1-23, Iron Man/Captain Americal Annual ’98, Captain America : Sentinel of Liberty #1-12 and Captain America : Red, White & Blue (2002) #1 for a total of almost 1300 pages – which will weigh heavily in the library, but also on the side of the portfolio.

In sum, of Captain America classic and modern, to attract different types of readership. As for the conclusion of run from Coatesour little finger tells us that it shouldn’t take too long either.
