The United States beats Honduras in the Minnesota ice cream

The selection of United Statess thrashed this Wednesday 3-0 against the Honduras in a cold Allianz Field in Minnesota and is close to taking one of the three direct seats to the Mundial Qatar 2022 that are distributed in the Concacaf qualifiers.

On the eleventh day of the octagonal Concacaf final, Weston McKennie, Walker Zimmerman and Christian Pulisic scored the goals with which the Americans reached 21 points and established themselves in second place in the table.

The United States had no rival in the first half, in which they dominated both in offensive plays and with 75 percent possession of the ball.

The Americans opened the scoring with their first shot on goal. In the 8th minute, Kellyn Acosta executed a free kick that McKennie, with a header, made it 1-0 in the area.

The American siege of Honduras turned into another goal in the 37th minute. Acosta took a free kick again, this time on the left wing, after which a mess was caused in the area between the Central American defenders that allowed Zimmerman to put the 2- 0.

Honduras also failed to attack in the second half and the United States took advantage of the absence of their rivals to settle the match. In the 68th minute, Acosta launched a corner that caused a series of rebounds, one of which allowed Pulisic, who had been on the field for three minutes, to score the final 3-0.
