The UK considers it “probable” that Russia is running out of long-range missiles

As the Russian offensive to destroy Ukraine’s infrastructure continues, the British MoD has speculated that Russia is running out of stocks of long-range missiles.

As stated in a report released this Saturday, Russia would have used in the last few hours missiles designed to carry nuclear weapons. The UK says there are images showing the remains of a KENT AS-15 missile designed in the 1980s solely for use as a nuclear weapon.

The Defense Ministry stresses that the use of this weapon like a conventional missile can cause damage, but believes it is “unlikely to achieve reliable effects” against specific targets.

According to London, Moscow would use these missiles to distract the Ukrainian air defenses but launches another hypothesis: “This improvisation shows the level of depletion of Russia’s reserves of long-range missiles”.

The aftermath of the Russian attacks

Meanwhile, attacks on Ukrainian targets continue. Last night, the Ukrainian president, Volodímir Zelenski, warned him more than six million people have no electricity. The main problems would be concentrated in and around Kiev, Odessa, Lviv, Vinnytsia and Dnipropetrovsk, Zlensi said in his usual nightly speech.

“The key task today, as well as other days this week, is energy. From Wednesday to today, the number of people whose electricity supply is cut off to stabilize the system has halved,” the ruler said which has once again asked the population to reduce the use of electricity.

Russia also continues to attack civilian targets: according to the Ukrainian Executive, a Russian missile destroyed an apartment building in Visgorod, in the Kyiv region. Six people were killed in the attack and dozens were injured.
