The “TikTok doctor” who was on “Everybody’s talking about it” banned from Facebook

The Facebook account of Mathieu Nadeau-Vallée (Wal_trudeau), the “TikTok doctor” who fights disinformation on the COVID-19 pandemic, has finally been banned.

This was announced by the resident doctor and researcher, who was on the set of Everybody talks about it Sunday. He indicated that his account had been withdrawn, “as he thought”, due to trolls, but also because of his pseudonym which he uses on Facebook.

And concerning his pseudonym, he claims to have chosen it because he “looks like Justin Trudeau, but in a cheap version”. To avoid problems, he now thinks of using his real name, rather than Wal_Trudeau.

“I challenged and they asked me to send ID,” he argued in a TikTok video. He will know within 24 hours whether or not Facebook maintains the suspension of his account.

Last week, a first post was temporarily withdrawn by Facebook. In this post, he denounced an open letter in which 12 people, who are said to have doctorates, claimed that masks were not an effective way to protect themselves against COVID-19 and that the virus was not fatal.

Mathieu Nadeau-Vallée, who has thousands of new subscribers since his visit to the Guy A. Lepage set, wrote to Facebook and his publication reappeared on his page.
