Forbes found these numbers by speaking to clubs, player agents, commercial sponsors and global football experts. The salaries for the 2021/2022 season were determined in each case. Taxes are not included.

Ronaldo is the soccer player who makes the most money in the 2021/2022 season. Overall, it should come to around 107 million euros. He receives almost 60 million of this through salaries and bonuses, around 47 million through partnerships and advertising deals.
Messi collects “only” just under 94 million euros. Almost 64 million of this amount to salaries and bonuses and around 30 million to partnerships and advertising deals.
