It’s up to us to make the supporters proud and to ensure that he continues to support us throughout the season — Clauss

Olympique de Marseille lost to AC Milan for this last friendly match of the preparation. Jonathan Clauss was in the mixed zone after his very first match at the Vélodrome as an OM player. Copiously applauded during his presentation, he enjoyed the atmosphere of his new garden.

“Against Milan, we had a very warm welcome, the supporters responded present. We started the match badly, we were too quickly under pressure, behind it paid off. We still reacted well in the second half but we lacked efficiency. For my part, I miss the inevitable. It’s the end of the preparation, we’re still going to work. We didn’t know how to take the result we wanted but we won’t let go (…) I’m not worried, it’s a new coach, a new system, everything is not done in a day. We try to do the best, we will continue in this direction. My first at the Velodrome? It’s crazy, but mixed because we lose. A big thank you to the supporters, they were huge. It’s up to us to make them proud and to ensure that he continues to support us throughout the season.” Jonathan Clauss – Source : Zone Mixte (31/07/22)
