An extensive ban on going out has been in force throughout Italy since March 11 – and yet the number of infected and dead people continues to increase. Italy reported more deaths than China as a result of the coronavirus pandemic on Thursday, and is the country with the most officially reported deaths in the world, with over 3,400 victims. 3,405 deaths have been reported since the epidemic started on February 21, 427 more than on Wednesday.
