The Success and Chemistry Behind the Characters in Pasión de Gavilanes

Pasión de gavilanes is one of the most successful productions in Colombia. Its fame broke barriers and was later broadcast in various parts of the world, becoming increasingly relevant. Precisely, this led to the release of a second part, which is currently broadcast by Caracol.

One of the most talked about couples in the production was the one played by Natasha Klauss and Michel Brown, who gave life to Sara Elizondo and Franco Reyes.

Although at the beginning these characters cannot even be seen in painting, the truth is that as time goes by they begin to feel butterflies in their stomach.

Precisely, something similar happened to the couple at the beginning of the recordings of the production. Natasha Klauss recently said on TikTok that she didn’t like Michel.

“Did you know that I didn’t like Michel?” said the actress, and incidentally stated that at the beginning, when they offered her to be part of the story, she didn’t want to accept, precisely because she didn’t have chemistry with her colleague.

“When they proposed the story to me I said, ‘this isn’t going to work, Michel? No, nothing to see’, because they also didn’t know how the public was going to react. The first scene together was a tender, beautiful, very loving kiss. Then ‘Ale’ called us and said: ‘What is this beauty of a couple?’”

But as with Sara and Franco, the actors got to know each other and liked each other, and as the weeks and months of recording went by, they ended up being great friends.

Recently, in a conversation she had with People en Español, she stated that one of the biggest challenges for her was understanding that many characters had had radical changes in their principles and values.

“I believe that human beings do not change in essence and values, we change in situations, so in particular there were moments in which it was very difficult for me to understand the situations and reactions from the character or sometimes from the other characters, so himself, because one created his character many years ago too. Those values and principles are normally not violated even if things happen. In fact, values are strengthened, but they are not lost,” he stated.

“For me it is seeing us after 20 years, what happens is that it is a second season with a very strong story, something that was not the first, so it is like watching Friends but Friends in one version, I don’t know how to explain it, Like now we’re going to say that Friends are murderers. I don’t know, a bit the opposite of what you’re used to seeing from those characters; So I think a pretty risky bet was made.”

Finally, the famous actress assured that she had not been so in agreement with these radical changes in the plot and that she would have liked them to maintain some details, for example, the humor.

“If I am going to make a typical Colombian dish, for example ajiaco, and the formula I have works for me, I continue with the formula and suddenly add more rice or combine the rice with other ingredients, but I do not change the ajiaco.”
