The Story of Kristin, a Trader Who Complains of Blower Sounds When Gibran Visits Legi Market, Has Been Selling Since 1980

SOLO, KOMPAS.com- A trader Pasar Legi Solo, Kristin (39), admitted that she was very disturbed by the sound of the blower above her kiosk.

According to him, the sound of the blower made it difficult for him to communicate with other traders.

In fact, Kristin didn’t even hear her cell phone ringing, there was an incoming call because of the loud sound of the blower.

“His voice (the blower) is too loud. So communication is difficult. Is he talking or not hearing? The incoming calls don’t hear me,” he said in Solo, Central Java, Monday (17/1/2022).

In addition, other complaints that he feels are always getting splashed by water (tempias) when it rains and access to his stall is difficult.

He said he had to turn the market around to get in because the stall was at the back.

“Because parking has to be in one direction. Now, if I want to be a buyer, I ask for something practical, easy and fast. Why does it have to be complicated to turn around. It’s difficult unless he’s really loyal to me, he’s become my customer,” he said.

Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka said that all traders’ complaints would be accommodated and a solution would soon be sought.

“The important thing is the market is new. Trade is more crowded, Solo’s economic activity is on the way again. The problem of permit dates, noisy fans, this problem can be while the important road is sik dodolan (sik sales),” said Gibran.

The plan in the near future will be installed soundproof so that the blower when it is turned on does not disturb the traders too much.

“For the short term, soundproofing will be installed. For the viewing, a canopy will be designed. The green building concept utilizes all elements,” he said.

Gibran added that the market inauguration will be held on February 20, 2022.
