The State Duma Council decided in February to consider a draft appeal on the recognition of the LPR and DPR, Kolomeitsev, deputy head of the Communist Party faction, told RIA Novosti.

The White House refused to comment on the draft appeal submitted by the Communist Party of the State Duma to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the need for possible recognition of the independence of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
