The situation in Soledare remains difficult, but it has already become clear in Moscow that Russian troops have suffered very heavy losses for the sake of little success.

“Obviously, the months-long Russian campaign resulted in extraordinary, huge losses of personnel. Thousands of untrained and ill-equipped Russian conscripts were killed,” Patel said.
He noted that the Russians suffered very large executions to capture a small town.
“The Kremlin itself has acknowledged that its decision to attack Soledar came at a high price,” Patel said.
He added that Washington will continue to consult with Ukrainian partners and assess the situation.
Recall, earlier it was reported that in Soledar on the evening of January 13, artillery duels began between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the occupiers, the city has become a real trap for the enemy.
