Today, Tuesday, the trial operation of the new comprehensive health insurance system will begin in Ismailia Governorate, after the Ministry of Health has completed raising the efficiency and equipping of health facilities scheduled to operate within the comprehensive insurance system in Ismailia, one of the governorates of the first phase of implementing the system.

It is planned to provide 2,300 medical services to the beneficiaries of the comprehensive health insurance system in Ismailia, and the services of the new project will be provided through 66 facilities, including “12 hospitals, 20 health centers, and 34 health units”, in line with the directions of the political leadership and the goals of Egypt Vision 2030 in providing services Integrated health care and achieving universal health coverage for all Egyptians through the new comprehensive health insurance project with the highest international quality and without discrimination.

The trial operation phase of the new system in Ismailia includes the operation of 22 health centers and units, and 3 hospitals, through which primary health care services are provided to the beneficiaries of the services of the new system, in accordance with the latest international standards for the beneficiaries of the governorate, and Ismailia Governorate is considered the highest registration in the comprehensive health insurance system.

Ismailia Governorate, the first governorate of the new comprehensive health insurance, has broken the one million mark in registering the citizens of the governorate with the new system, as the total number of citizens registered in the system has reached one million and 150 thousand citizens so far, as well as more than 250 thousand family files have been opened for citizens, as the rate of registration in the system reached 82 % Of the total population in the governorate, who numbered 1,370,806 citizens.

The Public Health Care Authority held a training forum on the new comprehensive health insurance system for managers of medical facilities and managers of human resources in Ismailia Governorate, as part of the final preparations for the start of the trial operation of the new comprehensive health insurance system in the governorate, with the aim of training them on the mechanism of work within the new system, and how to implement the system Within the health facilities scheduled to enter the new comprehensive health insurance system in Ismailia Governorate, which number 66 health facilities, including 54 units and centers in addition to 12 hospitals.

The package of medical services provided by the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance to the beneficiaries will cover all patients’ needs, including surgical intervention, analysis, radiology, tumor treatment, organ transplantation, prosthetic devices, visual and audio aids, dental treatment, therapeutic food, supplementary and others, and the coming period is also scheduled to witness coverage New in this package according to the latest methods of treatment and internationally approved drugs, and there is no ceiling for spending on providing medical services to patients, in the new system, but it allows travel abroad for those who cannot be treated in Egypt, and the state treasury bears the contributions of those who are unable and the most needy.

The development and upgrading of the capacity of the Ismailia Medical Complex, formerly Ismailia General Hospital, and the 30 June International Center for Nephrology and Urology were recently completed. Al-Qassaseen Central Hospital and Al-Tal Al-Kabir Central Hospital were also developed. The development of Fayed Central Hospital is underway. Earlier, the Abu Khalifah Emergency Hospital was developed, which was the first hospital for emergencies and receiving accidents in the governorates of Canal Region and Sinai.

30th June International Urology and Nephrology Center

The establishment of the 30th June International Urology and Nephrology Center has recently been completed, which includes 108 dialysis machines, 4 operating rooms, in addition to 12 clinics specialized in nephrology and urology..

The Minister of Health visited the center several times recently during her visit to Ismailia and inspected the clinics and dialysis rooms inside the center, and confirmed that the center is a medical edifice in the field of nephrology and urinary tract diseases, as it will provide medical service at the highest level, not only to Ismailia Governorate, but to all residents of Canal cities.

The Minister of Health affirmed that the capacity of the Ismailia Medical Complex has been developed and raised and the International Center for Nephrology and Urology established in Ismailia Governorate, in accordance with the standards of control and quality of the comprehensive health insurance system, and in accordance with the latest technological systems, indicating that the Ismailia Medical Complex will be a pioneering monument to provide Medical service in Egypt.

Abu Khalifa Emergency Hospital

Abu Khalifa Emergency Hospital is nearing the end of its work as a hospital for health isolation for Corona patients, to return after that as the first emergency hospital and receive accidents in the governorates of the Canal Region and Sinai, after rehabilitating and allocating them, with a total capacity of 127 beds, of which 37 are intensive care beds equipped with the latest modern medical technology.
