Israel has during the year vaccinated its population at a furious rate. The proportion of positive cases of covid-19 fell sharply when the Israelis gained access to Pfizer-Biontech vaccines on a large scale.
From the first dose was given on December 19, 2020, it took just over a month before 2.5 million of the country’s 9 million people received a first dose. Today, 78 percent of the population over the age of 12 are vaccinated with two doses.
