The Sports Minister receives Al-Khatib in his office to discuss some of Al-Ahly’s files

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, received, today, Thursday, Mahmoud Al-Khatib, head of Al-Ahly Club, in his office at the Ministry’s headquarters.

Mahmoud Al-Khatib discussed with the Minister of Sports a number of files concerning the Red Castle during the current period, in addition to the files on the sports field.

The board of the Al-Ahly Club, decided by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, decided to postpone the meeting that was scheduled for the end of the current week until the end of next week, due to the lack of completion of several files, which will be resolved and discussed in the next meeting, in the forefront of which is the reduction of player contracts in the various games in the club.

The Board of Directors had intended to meet this week to discuss several sports, administrative and construction files, as well as the issue of reducing contracts for players and coaches due to the current financial crisis that the world is living in due to the Corona epidemic, but the failure to complete the conception that members of the Council and the managers of all departments in the club will make out of this crisis made The council decides to postpone the session for the next week.

In its last meeting, Al-Ahly Council demanded that both Mr. Abdul Hafeez, the football director of the team and the members of the council, to develop a vision on how to reduce contracts in the ball team in a manner commensurate with the current financial crisis, especially that the club is going through a financial crisis like all state institutions and even all countries of the world, Abdel Hafeez and members of the council presented a vision during the past few days to manage the club, which will be studied in the next council meeting.

The National Council will discuss in its next scheduled meeting the vision of the Director of Football, Sayed Abdel Hafeez, as well as the members of the Board of Directors on how to get out of the current deadlock.
