On Monday morning, the full moon over Moscow inspired photographers in the Russian capital to make special associations. There is the full moon with hammer and sickle – or (see above) the moon in front of the rocket at the Cosmonaut Museum. The Earth’s satellite shines in all its glory – and a little pink.

In Limassol, Cyprus, the full moon shone in dark orange. Cruise ships are also on the move again after the Corona break – according to the AP agency, they are currently being refueled.

Before the national holiday on July 4, NASA had already warned the Americans of the special sky spectacle with a partial lunar eclipse – and of the special names that the moon has these days: Buck Moon, Thunder Moon and Guru Moon.
But there was no thunder moon in Europe.
This was only observed in other parts of the world.
Some of the photos showed the moon along with the fireworks for the national holiday.
