There are sometimes obvious facts that have become such rarities that their evocation always surprises. An easy-to-repair Tech product is today a source of surprise. This is the case of the Xperia 1 II, one of the last born from Sony that we have already been able to test.
If it displays a high price now common (1,200 euros), this very high-end product stands out from these immediate competitors … by its ease of repair. At this price, you would think that easily replacing a screen, a battery or components also pays. It is not so, at Apple like Samsung, Huawei and others.

And what was not the good surprise of the Chinese Youtubeur XYZONE when he embarked on the dismantling of the last flagship of the Japanese manufacturer. Among its surprises, the rear panel which is easily removed, because it contains no components. They were all fixed in the frame of the smartphone and prove to be rather simple to remove to be replaced. Sony has used charging ports or battery tabs that can be changed without difficulty.
The only thing that intrigues the youtuber: the unused space. According to him, this would suggest that Sony has planned a location for a large connector which could be the HDMI input announced on the next Xperia PRO. It could therefore share the same motherboard as the Xperia 1 II.
