In the end, Nikoleta Celárová will not decide the matches at the women’s hockey tournament in Beijing. A positive coronavirus test deprived her of her participation in other Olympic Games as a referee.

For Celarova, it was supposed to be the second participation in this task under five circles, it was also decided by the matches at the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyongyang. In Vancouver in 2010, she represented Slovakia as a player.

“I had a border test on a week ago on Thursday, everything was fine on Saturday. But I couldn’t fly to Beijing anymore. I’m very sorry, but unfortunately, that’s the time.” Celárová told TASR.
