Singer Amir has lost a loved one to coronavirus. He shared his pain in song by writing a low-key tribute.

Singer Amir lost a loved one during the lockdown. He spoke on Sud Radio: “I had to go through a pretty complicated period, I think we all went through that, but I had a family tragedy.“

At the end of the clip for his new track entitled “La Fête”, Amir pays homage to his uncle with a simple and discreet dedication: “A tonton Gérard“.

“I believe that through this pain that marked the Covid period and the period of confinement, because it happened because of that and during this period, I came out very very strengthened with a will more than ever to live and feel every moment that life offers me and to share it too.“
