The shooting in the New York subway leaves at least 13 injured

New York police continued their hunt on Wednesday for a shooter who caused havoc in the subway the day before and injured at least 23 people, including ten from bullets, while millions of employees resumed transport to work.

New York Mayor Eric Adams has called on New Yorkers to be “vigilant”, excluding at this stage that the killer, still on the run 24 hours after the accident, has an accomplice.

“It seems he acted alone,” the Democratic mayor, who took office on January 1, promised to put the megalopolis back on its feet after the Covid-19 pandemic, told MSNBC channel, particularly in terms of fighting crime.

And on Wednesday morning, New Yorkers received messages on their phones describing this “62-year-old black man,” asking to alert the police to provide any information useful for the investigation.

The man has posted several videos on YouTube, where he utters long, sometimes virulent political tirades, and criticizes Eric Adams, who pushed the police to tighten security around the mayor.
