The SES cites 8,500 Extremaduran women in February to undergo mammograms with the breast cancer prevention program

MÉRIDA, 31 (EUROPA PRESS)

The Extremadura Health Service (SES) has summoned more than 8,500 women in the region to undergo mammograms during the month of February, within the Program for Early Detection of Breast Cancer.

Approximately 4,700 users will be examined in the mobile units available to this Program, which will visit 18 towns in the region this month. The rest, about 3,900 women from the most populated localities, are summoned to take the test in the Specialized Attention centers of the SES.

The mobile units will start from the towns of Almoharín, Feria and Santa Amalia, and then continue their itineraries in Villafranco del Guadiana, Escurial, Zahínos, Valdehornillos, Gévora, Hernán Cortés, Valdebótoa, Ruecas, Don Álvaro, Vivares, La Zarza, Villagonzalo, Alange, Torremejía and Calamonte, as reported by the Board in a press release.

There are also women from five other small towns, who will have to travel to one of the populations mentioned above to have mammograms in mobile units. This is the case of the users of Valdemorales, Villamesías, Abertura, Conquista del Guadiana and Torrefresneda.
