The 17th edition of Dijon Plage is launched. 3,000 square meters of fine sand await enthusiasts on the shores of Lake Kir and with the summer weather, there were already many people to enjoy it this Saturday.

With an outside temperature of 25 degrees and a water temperature of 20 degrees, the conditions were ideal for the launch of Dijon Plage this Saturday, June 12. This year, 18 palm trees were installed in the middle of the 70 tons of fine sand dumped on the shores of Lake Kir. And the cabins that had disappeared last year, Covid obliges, are back.

“Last year, we had not put the cabins for health reasons that we know. It is true that there was a lot lacking. People needed them to change. So we added them this year. with instructions for our cleaning and disinfection staff “, specifies Claire Tomaselli, deputy mayor for sports.

Nearly 40,000 people are expected this year. Labeled “tourism and disability”, Dijon Plage also offers facilities for access to water for people with reduced mobility. The beach remains open until August 29.
