EXPLANATION FROM MINISTER PAKDEMİRLİ

Pakdemirli, who examined the fire area that started in the grassy area in Ildır District and followed the works, said in a statement to the reporters that the fire started at 22.47 and that the first response was made at 22.58.

Stating that the wind speed in the region is 53 kilometers per hour, Pakdemirli said, “Despite a slight decrease, the wind still continues. Our temperature is 25 degrees. There is 50 percent humidity in the air. Humidity is not against us.” said.

Explaining that 86 sprinklers, 9 dozers, 344 personnel intervened in the fire, Pakdemirli said, “We have 2 planes and 20 helicopters preparations for the morning. We will send them 45 minutes before dawn. They will start to intervene in the fire by taking water from the sea. 3 of our sites have been evacuated for precautionary purposes. There is no information about a damaged house that has reached us so far. The priority is of course safety of life and no loss of property. ” he spoke.

Reminding that the fire broke out in the scrub area, Pakdemirli said, “For now, an area of ​​around 50 hectares seems to be affected. Of course, this area may grow. The fire continues. The information we have obtained from the UAV images. We will soon be doing a reconnaissance flight with the helicopter with night vision.” used the expressions.

Pakdemirli stated that the dozers continue their activities to open roads, lanes, and stop the fire, and that the teams are working to surround the fire.

“Our priority is to completely eliminate the threat to residential areas. As of now, there is no threat in residential areas, but we are taking our forward-looking measures. As of the morning, we can make a more detailed explanation of the picture and the developments.”
