The salary increase was devoured by inflation The accountant: the negative growth of wages in the first 10 months was 0.13%

The General Office of Accounting and Accounting today announced employee pay statistics for the month of October. As price-raising pressure continued to engulf Taiwan, rising wages were eaten up by inflation. The real applicant salary in October 1 this year was NT$41,346, again a negative growth of 0.13%.

According to statistics from the General Accounting and Accounting Office, the average recurring salary of all employed employees in October was 44,528 yuan, a monthly increase of 0.30% and an annual growth rate of 2.15%.

However, since the beginning of this year, inflationary pressures have increased, leading to negative growth in recurring real wages on October 1, with an annual decline of 0.13%, which is the first negative growth over the same period in almost six years, but total real wages have maintained positive growth, with an annual increase of 0.46%.

Chen Huixin, deputy director of the National Census Division of the Accounting and General Bureau, pointed out that indeed the average regular salary in October 1 was 44,339 yuan, an annual increase of 2.90%, which was the largest increase in the same period from the Republic of China. The impact of the upward trend is more significant, and the real applicant wage still falls into negative growth.
