The Russian Embassy accused Canada of “blasphemy”, as well as “rudeness and obscurantism”

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Canada promises to “adequately respond” to sanctions imposed on 8 July against Russian propagandists, the leadership of Roskomnadzor and the highest hierarch of the Moscow Patriarchate Kirill.

This is stated in the statement of the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation in Ottawa, cited Russian media.

The imposition of sanctions against Patriarch Kirill in the diplomatic mission was called a “blasphemous act” and doubted that the rights of all faiths are respected in Canada.

“Russia’s response to such rudeness and obscurantism will be adequate and will not take long,” the Russian embassy threatens.

As you know, in addition to the patriarch, the former head of Yandex Tigran Khudaverdyan, the head of Roskomnadzor Andrey Lipov and his deputies Vladimir Logunov, Oleg Terlyakov, Vadim Subbotin and Milos Wagner, propagandist Pyotr Akopov and Ekaterina Andreeva were also sanctioned by Canada. The Canadian authorities also introduced restrictive measures against Roskomnadzor itself and the Regnum news agency.

Recall that earlier the Canadian Foreign Office criticized the presence of its senior representative departments at an event organized by the Russian embassy on the Day of Russia.
