Lhe King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, accompanied by their four children, visited the province of Limburg on Saturday. They notably cycled there on the Bokrijk cycle paths, covering more than twenty kilometers.
With this excursion, the sovereigns wanted to support the Belgian tourism sector. That is why they visited one of the most emblematic tourist sites in the country.
Royal visitors started their visit to the open-air museum in Bokrijk, where they could admire the exhibition “The world of Bruegel”. From there, they got on bikes and took the network of cycle paths crossing the ponds of the De Wijers nature reserve, where they could enjoy nature.
The royal family then stopped for a break at Camping Holsteenbron, where they were able to chat with the manager and a few residents.
