The Rotary Club of Nîmes rewards four deserving apprentices

Philippe Marchelek, director of Purple Campus Marguerittes, and his teaching team welcomed the Rotary Club of Nîmes for the traditional graduation ceremony. A ceremony which, for 12 years, has rewarded deserving young apprentices who hold high the values ​​of apprenticeship and who demonstrate a desire and a spirit of success.

The president, Robert Fabrega, presented the prizes to the four apprentices who distinguished themselves with one thing in common: to learn in order to turn to a profession that was close to their heart.

Mathéo, 17 and a half, decides in 2019 to contact Purple Campus for an apprenticeship in mechanics. During his support by an advisor, Mathéo realizes that he rather wants to move towards sales. Very quickly, he joined a bakery in Courbessac but the distance from his home did not allow him to continue and it was at Mr. Brechet, La Mie Câline in Saze, that Mateo would prove to be a true professional. “Very pleasant with my clients, he is serious, hardworking and respectful”. The young man is unanimous within his company and the CFA. “It is a pride to have accompanied this young person. It is the real reward of our work”, says a trainer.

Courage and motivation

Fatima, mother of a family, always passionate about cooking, decided to make her dream come true and obtain her CAP cooking. What a beautiful example says her advisor: “Fatima worked hard to reach the level; English, technology, applied sciences, chemistry…, Fatima had everything to learn and understand. Her courage, her motivation, her investment allowed her to to succeed and this deserves our congratulations today. “

Another nice journey, that of Stéphane, 43 years old and father of 4 daughters who, due to health problems, had to give up his job as a truck driver and find a new path. To carry out his new project, he did not hesitate to integrate a PRF (car mechanic within the Peugeot Nîmes garage; a training that takes place in one year and which allows to integrate either the labor market or to continue within from the establishment on a car ferry and a BTS maintenance of motor vehicles Stéphane announced during the ceremony that he had obtained a CDI at the Grands Garages du Gard.

And finally, Dylan who was preparing a BP cuisine in the application restaurant and who also has a hiring in sight within his establishment. “An apprentice who has always put his know-how at the service of others by helping the weakest and an apprentice who cultivates team cohesion”, emphasizes his cooking trainer, Mr. Rodrigues.
