“The Rolling Stones” prevents Tramp from using his song in the election campaign / Article / LSM.lv

Well-known British rock band The Rolling Stones has banned US President Donald Trump from using his song in the election campaign. The musicians have previously stated that they do not support the current owner of the White House and his policies.

The group’s statement said their representatives were working with a music copyright organization to stop using the song “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” during Trump’s election campaign. It was recently played at a private event in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

If the organizers of the presidential campaign do not comply with the ban, appropriate legal action will be taken.

The current owner of the White House is not supported by many other musicians, and a similar call has been issued by the family members of the late rock musician Tom Petis. The song “I Won’t Back Down” composed by this musician was also performed in Talsi. Both Tom and his family strongly oppose all forms of racism and discrimination, and the musician would never want his song used in a hate campaign, Petia’s relatives said in a statement.
