The ring of fire solar eclipse is called the ring of fire, this is why…

JAKARTA – The rare phenomenon of a solar eclipse will grace the sky on June 10, 2021. The resulting solar eclipse will create a beautiful ring of fire phenomenon in the sky. Because it is also called the Ring of Fire.

Unfortunately this phenomenon can only be seen in the northern part of the Earth, namely Ellesmere and Baffin Islands (Canada), as well as the Siberian region (Russia). This ring of fire eclipse was also partially visible in several US states.

Cities such as Toronto in Canada and New York and Boston in the US will each see between 80 and 86 percent of the solar eclipse.

The eclipse is expected to begin around 5:24 a.m. EST when the Moon passes directly in front of the Sun. This annular eclipse will reach its peak around 5:32 a.m. EST.

Astronomers estimate the entire event will last just over an hour and will finish at 6:30 a.m. EST.

Other regions such as Greenland, Ireland, Europe, Russia, central Asian countries and western China can witness a partial solar eclipse if the weather permits.

In the UK and Ireland, for example, 38 percent of the sun will be blocked by the moon and become a partial solar eclipse phenomenon around 11.00 local time.

NASA explains, it’s never safe to look directly at the sun, especially during a solar eclipse.

However, NASA reminded the public not to see the phenomenon directly without tools such as eclipse glasses.

“When viewing a partial eclipse, you should wear eclipse glasses or use an alternative indirect method,” the US space agency said.

“This also applies during total eclipses until the sun is completely covered,” they added.
