The “Republican People” of Qena organizes a symposium to raise awareness of the harm of overpopulation and the importance of reproductive health

The Secretariat of the Republican People’s Party in Qena Governorate organized an expanded symposium, implementing the directives of the Central Secretariat, on the harms of population growth and the importance of reproductive health. Qena, and Dr. Mahmoud Omar Abdel Aziz Suleiman, Assistant Secretary for Organizational Affairs, and Marwa Abdel Rahim Hussein, Republican People’s Party Women’s Secretary in Qena, in the presence of Dr Manal Wanis, Head of Family Planning Department at Qena Health Directorate, and Dr Sahar, coordinator of the symposium in the village.

Marwa Abdel-Rahim Hussein, Women’s Secretary of the Republican People’s Party in Qena Governorate, reviewed the efforts of the party and the Women’s Secretariat in supporting and empowering women, as they organized a series of medical convoys to activate the presidential initiative “100 million health to support women’s health” and to detect non-communicable diseases and direct cases requiring more From medical procedures to Ministry of Health hospitals to receive free treatment, then the was launched the initiative “We are with you” to detect breast cancer and how self-examination and early diagnosis. For her part, Dr. Manal Wanis, Head of Family Planning Department at Qena Health Directorate, stressed the need to spread health awareness and learn about reproductive health services provided by family health centers, also underlining the concern for women’s health in all aspects and the need to take care of every child born even after the end of the childbearing period, explaining that the state provides free family planning services in all family health units

“Wanis” indicated that there is a package of services provided by the Ministry of Health for family planning, including: general advice on family planning and reproductive health services, provision of contraceptive methods and related advice, case evaluation and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, early diagnosis of cases most susceptible to cancers, mammography, follow-up of cases with television x-rays, treatment of collateral complications that may arise from the use of methods, community awareness of reproductive health issues and follow-up of those who quit using contraceptive methods through home visits by rural pioneers, pointing out that the Ministry of Health provides a variety of contraceptive methods Pregnancy for women at state subsidized prices or free of charge in mobile clinics and family planning units, asking women to take care of reproductive health and work positively to face the population increase that devours the fruits of development.
