Gentlemen »The Nidwalden took third place on Saturday from the giant of Santa Caterina. He is the leader of the discipline.
Fifth podium in the discipline for Marco Odermatt on the occasion of the first giant of Santa Caterina. The Nidwaldien finished third, just ahead of Loïc Meillard, and will wear the leader’s red bib today for the second effort in Valtellina. Struck by the Covid-19 about two weeks ago, Marco Odermatt and Loïc Meillard obviously do not have too many consequences of this mishap. Both giants finished at the top of the standings, but they lacked a little something to finish first. This little something that Filip Zubcic, winner of his second giant, seems to have found. The Croatian climbed from sixth to first place at the cost of a superb effort on the second track. Even Zan Kranjec, in the lead after the first round, could not deny him the victory and finished on the second step of the podium.
