Lithuanian Darius Labanauskas provides second nine-darter at World Cup, exit Chris Landman | Darts

sport">It didn’t get as nice as Friday evening. Then Willie Borland won his exciting game against Bradley Brooks 3-2 thanks to a nine-darter in the all-deciding leg. Labanauskas ‘only’ decided the first set in his favor with his nine-darter.

sport">It was ultimately to no avail for Labanauskas, who defeated Van Barneveld in 2019. De Decker remained cool and won three sets in a row, making the Lithuanian’s World Cup adventure a joyful one.

sport">The last time two nine-darters were thrown in one World Cup was in 2013. Terry Jenkins and Kyle Anderson completed the perfect leg on the same day.

Chris Landman

sport">For Chris Landman, the World Cup is over. The Dutchman had no chance against the British Ian White in a mediocre match. The number 27 in the world was a lot better than Landman, although he only really showed his class in the second set. In the end White was too strong 3-0.
