The renovated Škoda 1100 OHC Coupé, the completion of which was the culmination of the celebrations of 120 years of motorsport at Škoda, will be shown to the public on the race track as part of the Sosnová Classic 2022 event, which takes place on Saturday 14 May. As the name suggests, of course it is at the Sosnová Autodrome near Česká Lípa.

Is this little red Skoda worth the spectacle? It is one of the rarest Škoda cars – only two pieces were created at the end of the 1950s, no more.

One of them has been renovated by the Škoda restoration workshop in the last few years with the help of a prototype building workshop. Only the torso and individual parts of the crashed cars have survived, so in fact they had to be rebuilt. The aluminum body was welded and knocked out by the bodywork by hand, just as then.

At Sosnová Classic 2022, racers from the 1920s to the early 1990s will be introduced in various categories, but the fabia Rally2 evo, run by Jan Kopecký, will also be presented.

The 1100 OHC Coupé will have its public driving premiere here, and because the open version will also run, these two cars will run side by side on the race track after 61 years. The last joint race was the Mladá Boleslav Prize on the circuit in nearby Čistá near Bělá pod Bezdězem in 1961.
