Meghan Markle updated her son Archie’s birth certificate, removing his first and middle names, “Rachel Meghan,” from the document. On the latest copy of the certificate, obtained by the UK the Judgment, first Deal or No Deal model replaced her nickname with “Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex”.
According to the document, Meghan made the adjustments almost a month after Archie’s birth on May 6, 2019. Meghan’s name change is quite significant, as it appears to be a “nod” to Harry’s late mother and her beloved. Princess Diana, who always went by “Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales” (via Daily mail).
Although Meghan never had a chance to meet Diana, who died at 36 in August 1997 after a tragic car accident, Harry believes his mother would have shared a great bond with his wife. When the couple got engaged in November 2017, the handsome prince revealed what he thinks Diana would have thought about his affair with the actress.
“Oh, they would be thick as thieves, without a doubt,” Harry gushed. Sky News. “I think she would be delighted, jumping up and down, you know, very excited for me, but then like I said, she probably would have been Meghan’s best friend.” Fortunately, Meghan can continue to honor Diana’s incredible memory.
